Special Town Board Meeting

January 2, 2026

The special town meeting of the Board of the Town of Rockbridge was held on Friday, January 2, 2026, at the Rockbridge Town Hall.

1. Call to order: Nick called the meeting to order at 8:00am, noting it had been properly posted.
2. Roll call: Doug Duhr, Jeff Falk, Nick Perna, and Austin Clary were present.
3. Approve agenda: Doug made a motion to approve the agenda and Jeff seconded. All in favor; aye, motion carried.
4. Items for discussion and action:
   • Equipment
     • Purchase of full-size truck: Nick made a motion to raise purchase threshold to $45K and Jeff seconded. All in favor; aye, motion carried.
   • Closed session: patrolman annual performance review. Nick made a motion to go into closed session and Doug seconded. All in favor; aye, motion carried. Discussed details surrounding incident on December 11, 2025. Nick provided formal written warning to Austin. Austin signed and a copy will be placed in employee’s file for recordkeeping purposes. Board is happy with mowing and snow removal operations. Doug suggested to post upcoming mowing operations to town website for residents’ awareness. Scheduled mid-year performance review for Friday, June 5, 2026, at 8am. Nick made a motion to end closed session and Doug seconded. All in favor; aye, motion carried.
5. Adjournment: Nick made a motion to adjourn at 9:01am and Doug seconded. All in favor; aye, motion carried.
